Instant Means instant!

Great adhesive. Make sure it is in the place you want before you add a drop or two as it reacts fairly quick with rubber.

Q: Can this be used in place of the 3m black adhesive

A: Thank you for your question. The Loctite 495 product is designed to bond rubber together, either dense or sponge. Helpful if you are making a custom gasket or bonding a miter cut joint or straight cut joint.
The 3M Super Black weatherstrip adhesive is intended to attach rubber to the car body or mounting surface on the vehicle.
